Tour has raised more than $180,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation®

(BRADENTON, Fla., March 7, 2008) – The CARSTAR Super’Stang Muscle Tour and its re-creation of a legendary 1967 prototype Mustang will spend Spring Break at the Keystone Automotive NMRA Ford Nationals from March 7-9. The Bradenton Motorsports Park will kick off the racing season with a weekend of NMRA Heads-Up Drag Racing, an all-Ford auto show and shine, a swap meet and a burnout contest.

“We are excited to work with the local Make-A-Wish® chapter,” said CARSTAR Regional Marketing Manager Tim Jackson. “Their volunteers will join us at the car show to help sell wrist bands and give away hero cards.”

The Super’Stang will be on display in the car show area near the end of the midway between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on March 8 and 9. The Super’Stang will join show cars from all over the country.

We are expecting between 20,000 and 30,000 visitors this year depending on weather. This is the 10th year Anniversary of the NMRA and we celebrate with our season opener in Bradenton. Since this is our season opener, most of our northern racers have grown tired of the snow and are ready to head south for some racing action,” said Car Show Operations Director for the NMRA Lisa Bodrey.

The CARSTAR Super’Stang, created by CARSTAR and one of the country’s leading restorer of Mustangs, Jeff Yergovich, is the centerpiece of a nationwide, 18-month fundraising tour to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The legendary 1967 prototype Ford Mustang will be sold at auction in January 2009 to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America. The Super’Stang has already raised more than $180,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and traveled more than 35,000 miles.
