(GREAT FALLS, Mont. – May 5, 2008) – The CARSTAR Super’Stang, a restored 1967 Ford Mustang on a nationwide, 18-month fundraising tour to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, will join more than 600 vehicles of all makes and models on display during the ninth annual Cruisin’ the Drag car show in downtown Great Falls, Mont. on May 10.

Wish Child Trevin, of Kalispell, Mont., will be attending the event. Before being diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2001, Trevin and his father had begun the process of restoring a truck his father had in his teens, a 1954 Chevrolet. After his diagnosis, his family’s energies shifted toward getting him the treatments he needed. When the Make-A-Wish Foundation asked Trevin what his wish was, he chose to restore the 1954 Chevrolet truck that meant so much to him. Numerous community volunteers and companies in the Kalispell area rallied together to help make his wish come true and the result was a beautiful electric blue truck and a very happy young man. This year, Trevin and his family will be bringing his truck to display at Cruisin’ the Drag.

Cruisin’ the Drag features cars, trucks, motorcycles, trailers and bicycles along nine blocks on Central Avenue. The Super’Stang will be on display at 826 Central Ave. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Alaska, Montana, Northern Idaho & Washington will be taking donations and selling Make-A-Wish wristbands and other items. Those making donations will have the opportunity to sign a Make-A-Wish paper star, which will be displayed at Procraft CARSTAR in Great Falls, to show their support.

The foundation has been granting wishes to children in Montana for over 10 years and is currently working on 33 wishes for Montana kids. “Along with raising money, we also are hoping to gain more Make-A-Wish volunteers in the area,” said Sharolyn Taylor, marketing rep for Procraft CARSTAR.

Additionally, two separate raffles will be held for the chance to win two free weekend car rentals from Enterprise Rent-a-Car or a “Go Griz” plaque, a metal cutout of a grizzly head, the University of Montana mascot. The tickets are currently on sale at Procraft CARSTAR in Great Falls, 917 Central Ave., for $1 per ticket or $5 for six tickets. They will also be on sale during Cruisin’ the Drag on May 10. The drawings will be held on May 11.

The Montana CARSTAR Business Group and Enterprise Rent-a-Car are sponsoring the Super’Stang’s visit to Great Falls. The Montana Business Group is comprised of Procraft CARSTAR of Great Falls, Collision Craft CARSTAR of Kalispell and Auto Body Specialist CARSTAR of Billings.
