1967 Mustang Stopping at Local CARSTAR to Raise Money for Make-A-Wish Foundation®
(EDMONDS, Wash., July 23, 2008) - Collision Clinic Carstar will pit stop its re-creation of a legendary 1967 Mustang on July 23 at the Women of Collision Clinic Carstar (CCC) networking event to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation®. The CARSTAR Super’Stang, created by CARSTAR and one of the country’s leading restorers of Mustangs, Jeff Yergovich, is the centerpiece of an 18-month fundraising tour to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This 1967 prototype Ford Mustang will be sold at auction in Scottsdale in January 2009 to benefit the Foundation. The tour has already raised more than $180,000 and traveled more than 35,000 miles.
The Women of CCC is comprised of local women in the automotive profession, including local vendors and dealerships. Donations will be accepted for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Washington and magnetic Make-A-Wish stars will be available for purchase.
“The purpose of the networking event is to acknowledge the buying power of women in the automotive industry and at the same time raise money for the Make-A-Wish foundation,” said Heidi Black, estimator at Collision Clinic Carstar.
The 545-horsepower CARSTAR Super’Stang will be on display at the Collision Clinic CARSTAR from 4 to 9 p.m.
The Super’Stang will be attending another fundraising event in the Seattle area on July 24. Look for the Super’Stang at a charity golf tournament on Thursday morning at Maplewood Golf Course in Renton, Wash.
